Why Building-Integrated Photovoltaics on Building Facade?

The solar potential of the city is mainly on the roofs and façades of buildings. Because of the limited area of the roof, the building façade, although harvesting less solar radiation, can be paved with more area of PV, and therefore will be the main direction of future development.

BIPV curtain wall system

The full-scale curtain wall system can be used on office building facades, which can be easily merged into built environment with the patterns of marble, terracotta, black and white. The colored PV modules can be customized and satisfied to the needs of the design requirement.

Unitized BIPV Wall system

The unitized BIPV wall system uses prefabricated construction technology to create a multi-layer opaque BIPV wall, which features with all-in-one solution.

we are selected into EMA-Shell Partnership Start-up engine and obtained the grant

Power Facade is incubated and invested by NUS GRIP Program in 2022. Afterwards, Power Facade is one of the selected team in the EMA-SHELL Partnership Start-up Engine in 2023, and obtained the 4th EMA-Shell Startup Grant.

    Another one of our patented products is the color PV module, which can realize not only a single color on the PV module, but also any pattern, such as the company logo and the pattern of building materials, etc. This allows the PV module to be easily integrated into the built environment.

    Dr. Zhang Qianning

    Co-Founder & CEO

    Dr. Zhang is co-founder and CEO of Power Facade Pte. Ltd. Trained as an architect, she specializes in sustainable building design, building evaluation, and human-oriented design. Her doctoral study focuses on IoT technologies concerning human-oriented buildings and behavioral changes in architecture.

    Dr. Chen Tianyi

    Co-Founder & CTO

    Dr. Chen is a co-founder and CTO of Power Façade Pte. Ltd. He is a trained architect and has 8-year professional architectural design experience in Hong Kong and Singapore. His invention and Ph.D. results “Unitized BIPV Wall” have been published in several top 10% journals and filed as a patent.
